As we move out of the recession, many nursery businesses will be considering the possibility of expansion. By undertaking detailed financial forecasting, both you and your lender can fully understand the future financial viability of your business, in turn providing you with the best possible chance of securing the funding you need for growth.

Analysis of historic performance is always a useful starting point. Key factors and trends driving financial performance can often be identified by looking at historic accounts over a threeto five-year period, which lets you build reasonable assumptions about the future. An example might be a consistent level of sales growth which has been achieved over the past three years.
