(Photograph) - A childcare jobs and training fair in the London borough of Lewisham last November led 23-year-old Laura Brown (above, with one of her charges) to a job working at the Akwaaba Childcare Centre, which is run by the children's charity Barnardo's. Laura now works as a keyworker with a small number of children, including some who have special needs. She calls it 'a brilliant job'. The borough held another jobs and training fair last week as part of National Childcare Month.
