Action Against Wildlife Crime

The Scottish Partnership for Action Against Wildlife Crime has launched an educational website to enhance the teaching of environmental studies to children aged five to 14 and highlight the importance of tackling wildlife crime. The website at www.snh. gov.uk/wildlifecrimeschools features the cartoon character Oscar the Otter, who aims to encourage children to be responsible for protecting wildlife. Allan Wilson, deputy environment minister, said, 'The site fits neatly into curricular activities and provides a bright, fun resource to learn about important issues.' The website, jointly funded by the Scottish Executive and Scottish Natural Heritage, is accompanied by a colourful pack. E-mail Oscar asking him for a pack on oscar.otter@snh.gov.uk.
