Babies spot the difference

Babies as young as six months can spot the difference between 'nice' and 'nasty' characters, according to research published in the journal Nature last week.

Researchers from Yale University in the United States showed babies agedsix months and ten months a puppet show in which a wooden toy was seentrying to climb a hill and was either helped or hindered by anothercharacter. The babies showed that they preferred the helpful toys.
