Step by Step's new First Sound Blocks set (above) is suitable for the younger members of this stage. The set contains three different types of blocks - sound blocks; rainbow sound blocks and Neo blocks and they are designed to encourage the recognition of colour, shape, balance and sound.

Sticklebricks have been around for more than 30 years and are on the verge of achieving iconic status with those of you who played with them as children and now use them in your setting. The Junior Super Builder Bucket (below) contains 75 assorted pieces that include faces, shapes, wheels and axles. The bucket has a carry handle and this set is suitable for two-year-olds upwards.
