* For all cameras, you will need a built-in automatic flash, and a non-zoom camera will provide good results more consistently because it has one less extra control for small people to master.
* A moderate wide angle, such as 35mm on a 35mm film camera, will be the most useful focal length lens and a you should choose a big viewfinder.
* The brand names on cameras at the lower end of the price range are almost irrelevant as the camera will almost certainly have not been made by that company. Focus on finding a model that feels strong and offers ease of use.
