Cycling enthusiasts sought

Cycling enthusiasts are being sought by the medical charity Action Research to take part in a 300-mile London-to-Paris bike ride this summer. The four-day event will end on 27 July, in time to join the 100th anniversary celebrations of the Tour de France as it finishes at the Arc de Triomphe. Anthony North, head of events at Action Research, said, 'This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see the Tour in its centenary year. There are just a few places left which, once filled, will ensure we raise 100,000 for vital research and help save lives.' Participants can register for Pounds 99 and must commit to raising a minimum 1,000 in sponsorship. Call the charity on 01732 744 031, or visit the website www.actionresearch.org.uk.
