Dental health events raise a smile

Want something to get your teeth into for National Smile Week? It's running from 13-19 May and is organised by the British Dental Health Foundation (BDHF), a charity dedicated to promoting oral health. This year the theme is 'Food and Drink' and the BDHF wants to increase the involvement of professionals who work in the field of education. What better time to talk about the effect of sugar on teeth than at nursery? The Children's Dental Health Survey in 1993 revealed that almost half of all children had decaying teeth by the time they were five years old.
