Contract Know exactly what your duties will include as some jobs involve more than childcare. Find out what happens if you wish to leave before your contract is up.
Catered for Check whether your employers are paying for food, accommodation, uniform and travel or, if not, whether it's being reflected in your wages. You may sometimes have to put some money down for a flight, so be sure to ask.
Finances Check how you will be paid and if it's in UK sterling as otherwise you will be affected by exchange rates. Consider setting up Internet banking so you can easily access your statements. If you have standing orders or direct debits make sure these are addressed before you leave. It can be useful to arrange for someone you trust to have access to your account should you need to settle a bill for example, but with Internet banking this probably won't be necessary.
