Double time

From nanny to agency manager to nursery owner - Helen Kewley hears how one enterprising nanny does it. At the age of 27, Liz Jones is a nanny who already owns and runs two successful childcare businesses - the Back-Up Nanny Agency and Dizzy's Day Nursery. How did she get there? After she gained her BTec National diploma in nursery nursing at Cambridge Regional College she went to Canada for a nanny job in which she stayed for a year. Returning to England she worked first for a family, then in a day nursery, before returning to Canada, where she became engaged to a diving instructor. She moved with him to Grand Cayman in the West Indies and found work in a nursery school.
