The aim of the trip is to inform the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton’s work through The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood, which aims to drive awareness of and action on the impact of the early years on children’s development.
During the trip, The Duchess visited the Copenhagen Infant Mental Health Project to find out more about how the country has promoted infant wellbeing alongside physical health. She also went to Stenurten Forest Kindergarten (pictured), which focuses on teaching children self-worth and self-esteem.
Other visits included The Children’s Museum to hear how parents and health visitors have benefitted from the ‘Understanding your baby’ programme, and PlayLab at Campus Carlsberg - a creative learning environment for students training to be early years professionals.
