There are 48 cards in this set featuring emotions. The photographs are of excellent quality - sharp and clear with subjects who appear to be reacting quite naturally. Each picture seems to represent a moment in a small drama. The photos are printed on strong round-cornered cards with a glossy finish. They measure 15 x 21cm and are accompanied by a multilingual booklet which supplies a title for each picture and an extensive glossary of resource words.

'These cards are a very useful resource,' says Helen Seery, a nursery teacher at Yerbury School, Islington, London. 'They are a nice size, good quality and very detailed. The pictures can be used as a basis for discussion on a wide variety of topics - family, citizenship, peer relationships. You can use them with all age groups, and they are great for setting up a lesson at a moment's notice. Most of them go down well with nursery children, but a few could be disturbing - the angry parents arguing, for example.'
