The Government consultation on the EYFS incorporates changes to both the educational programmes and the Early Learning Goals (ELGs), but these fall well short of early years experts' expectations for the framework.

Launched last week, the consultation follows an evaluation of a pilot of the proposed revised EYFS, which 24 schools participated in.
