Finer feelings

Use the 'Happy Birthday' story as a starting point to encourage children to talk about Sharing the story * Share the pull-out story 'Happy Birthday' with the children, using props such as a birthday card from mummy and daddy and 'feelings' puppets - these can be bought (see Resources, p16) or easily made by drawing facial expressions on to cardboard discs and attaching them to lolly sticks.
