The charity BookTrust has teamed up with family-run restaurant chain The Rick Stein Group to give away special editions of the book - A Hole in the Bottom of the Sea by Jessica Law and illustrated by Jill McDonald, in 12 Rick Stein restaurants across Cornwall, Winchester, Sandbanks, Marlborough and Barnes.
BookTrust, supported by Barefoot Books, initially gave away over 450,000 copies of the book as part of National Bookstart Week in June 2016.
A spokesperson for the Rick Stein Group said, 'We are delighted to be giving out copies of the children’s book in our restaurants. We know how important reading and stories are for children and we are delighted so many more families who visit our restaurants will have the pleasure of reading this magical story over their family meal.’
