Last year,130 nurseries raised more than 19,000 by holding a special Whizz-Kidz 'Blue and Yellow Day' and Whizz-Kidz are asking more to join in this year, on 19 October.
The fundraising centres around the blue and yellow theme - children at Fledglings Nursery in Ramsgate, for example, were sponsored to wear blue and yellow clothes, wigs and face paints. They were featuredin their local paper and raised 722 - enough to buy a specialised tricycle for outdoor play.
The charity also produces a range of resource packs for teachers, packed with ideas about raising awareness about disability.
