Funny faces

Have more fun with faces while you help the children practise their skills with scissors and making collages. Resources

Resources

Paper plates, wool, old catalogues/magazines, glue, scissors

Step by step

* Cut out various features from magazines, including eyes, nose and ears, and arrange them on the table.

* Give each of the children a paper plate and ask them to glue the features on to the plate.

* Children can then glue some wool or coloured strands of paper on to the plates for hair.

* They now have a complete funny face.

* The children will have lots of fun, and you could even make it into a funny face competition.

* This activity can be extended to make animal faces. Or you could try to show different human emotions, as above.
