'Discovery' resources
The young naturalist kit (Hope, 4.99, tel: 08702 433400) is a good resource for the outdoors, enabling children to study in detail any leaves, buds and insects.
Galt's hand magnifier (7.99, tel: 08702 424477) is designed specially for small hands. A set of 10 hand magnifiers with a magnifying strength of three, priced 8.99, is also available from Galt.
Pond nets (Hope, 8.99 for five) would be ideal for our 'pond dipping' activity in the water tray (see page 10).
Galt's set of six colour paddles (2.99) can be used to 'mix' colours as one is placed over another. The blue and yellow paddles would come in useful for activities exploring the colour green (see pages 14-15).
