Large sheet of paper aprons trays a selection of primary coloured paints Step by step

* Discuss colour and how mixing different colours together can create a new colour.

* Fill each tray with a different primary colour.

* Ask one of the children to dip one hand into the blue paint and make a print on the sheet of paper.

* Draw an addition sign next to it and ask the child to dip their other hand in the yellow paint and make a print next to that.

* Draw an equals sign.

* Ask the child to rub his hands together.
