There's a bright new look at the nursery department at Pitcorthie primary school in Dunfermline this winter, thanks to a donation from local house builders Redrow Homes. The school used the gift of a surplus roll of fabric to make new curtains and drapes for the nursery and primary classrooms - and the children even have matching baking overalls. Deputy head Elizabeth Ford said, 'The parents and other members of staff made the curtains and drapes for us, so now we have a whole new look which hasn't cost us a penny.'
