In brief...Learning and Teaching Scotland is keen for early years practitioners

Learning and Teaching Scotland is keen for early years practitioners to give their views on a set of resources it is developing which could help staff make judgements about young children's learning. The pilot CD-Rom on writing, devised as part of the Continuity and Progression Project, will be available on the website www.ngflscotland.gov. uk/earlyyears/ until 24 August. Feedback from practitioners will influence the development of the remaining sections on personal, emotional and social development, listening and talking, physical co-ordination, expressive communication, reading, mathematics and understanding the environment. A prize will be awarded to the winning child and their club in each of three categories; under 8, 8 to 11 and 12 years and over.
