Education specialists from Aberdeenshire Council and health professionals from Grampian University Hospitals Trust have produced a new resource for early years practitioners. 'Learning Every Day' aims to show how play is an essential part of learning and of healthy physical, social and intellectual development. The resource illustrates how using a little imagination can make everyday situations and tasks, such as shopping, cooking and car or bus journeys, exciting and stimulating for young children. It is available in either video or CD format and is split into six sections ideal for training days or workshops. 'Learning Every Day' costs 45 (inc VAT and p&p) from Aberdeenshire Council (01224 346073).
