International Reading Association's 19th World Congress on Reading

Literacy specialists from around the world gathered at the University of Edinburgh last week for the International Reading Association's 19th World Congress on Reading to discuss topics including early literacy, multicultural education and classroom strategies. Association president Jerry Johns said, 'As educators communicate with teachers throughout the world each becomes richer in ideas and methods for helping children learn to read and write.'
