An awareness and recruitment campaign aimed at nursery workers, childminders and other childcarers is to be launched by the Scottish Executive. It will seek to raise the profile of the social services sector as well as targeting problem areas for recruitment and retention. The steering group to develop the campaign, led by the Executive, is made up of a number of professional and voluntary organisations including the Scottish Social Services Council, the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities and Carers Scotland.
