Letters: Active support

Our setting has received NDNA support and were very pleased when the NDNA visited and gave expert advice and recommendations on our documentation. I was relieved to realise that we were on the right track.

We have bought the policy pack from the NDNA to help us whenimplementing new policies. We have continuing help and support regardingthe Quality Counts quality assurance scheme - without the NDNA's help,it would have just been another pack left uncompleted on the shelf. Wehave also attended many of their conferences to keep us updated.

When the Government stipulated that nurseries were not allowed to chargetop-up fees, the NDNA were active in discussions with the Government, aswe were continually reading articles on the subject with lots of quotesfrom the NDNA.

We were one of the nurseries who filled out the survey and the feedbackwas very interesting. It was reassuring to realise that other nurserieswere feeling as we were and were coming up with ideas to overcome thesituation.

We continue to subscribe to the NDNA both locally and nationally, because we are given support and do not feel that we are on our own inthis cut-throat industry.
