Letters: Where do we fit?

I read Alan Bentley's article regarding a new trade organisation and also Purnima Tanuku's response ('To the point', 17 and 24 May).

I can see both sides of the argument. I can see where Mr Bentley differswith the NDNA approach of Government negotiations and policyinfluence.

What I want to know is, what actually would a trade organisation offer? How is it different again from a professional organisation such as BASWor BMA? Where would those of us set within the 'third sector', runningnurseries as social enterprises, sit in this trade organisation?

Mr Bentley's point is that 'might' is important, but surely that isweakened if it fails to include us all, or if it just references the PVIorganisations which already must compete with the private sector in amarket squeezed by the statutory sector and large charities.
