Local authorities' plans for children and young people

Local authorities' plans for children and young people are examined in the National Foundation for Educational Research's interim report, Analysis of the 2006 Children and Young People's Plans, to be distributed in the next few weeks. The findings so far, based on 50 plans, are being made available to local authorities, the research sponsors and other interested organisations. The NFER hopes that the set of bulletin findings will provide useful feedback ahead of its final conclusions, which will advise on good practice and inform future approaches to planning for local authorities. The final report, which will examine the plans of 75 local authorities, will be published in October.
