Reading Is Fundamental, UK is a non-profit making organisation that is part of the National Literacy Trust. It promotes literacy through reading motivation, providing regular opportunities for disadvantaged children to choose and keep new books at no cost. Now the RIF has launched a website to promote the idea that books are fun, featuring interviews with favourite authors, inside news on top children's books, reviews and an on-line story workshop. There is also an advice section for adults which includes tips on helping children to enjoy reading and how to select the best books for children. The website is at www.rif.org.uk
