London conference on pay

15 January 2003

If you are a London playworker dissatisfied with your pay, the Community and Youth Workers' Union (CYWU) is holding a conference at the University of London Union, Malet Street, London WC1 on 3 February from 10am. The union believes that the way to improve pay for playworkers is to organise national collective bargaining around the JNC terms and conditions, currently the standard for youth work. The conference is free to CYWU members; 20 to non-members but concessions will be considered - call Terry Brandon on 01279 629161. All bookings to 0121 244 3344 (tel) 0121 244 3345 (fax) or email kerry@cywu.org.uk by 25 January.
