During National Day Nurseries Week (3 to 9 June) nurseries across the country will be able to join in a sponsored Sunflower Challenge, run in conjunction with the WaterAid charity. NDNA chief executive Rosemary Murphy said, 'The sunflower growing scheme is an excellent early years project as well as a chance to raise money for a good cause.' Sunflower Challenge packs containing seeds and everything needed to take part have been sent to all NDNA member nurseries.
