'Corporate social responsibility (CSR) takes all this into account,' says a spokesman for Business Link, the Government's business advisory and information service. 'It isn't about being "right on" or mounting an expensive publicity exercise. It simply means taking a responsible attitude, and following simple principles that apply whatever the size of your business.

'Every business should be interested in CSR. It's a win-win situation: society benefits, and so does your business.'
