It is worrying that an increasing number of children think nature is in a faraway place. Children's development is being impaired by spending hours indoors in front of the television or computer. When they do go out to play it's often on sterile playgrounds where the design is motivated by the fear of being sued, rather than children's enjoyment and enrichment.

As an ex-reception teacher, I am fed up with children's play being washed away and replaced by laborious ticksheets and forms. Because of this I have decided to establish an 'edutainment centre', where children learn through play.
