New guide for leading workforce

The outgoing chair of the Children's Workforce Development Council has launched the first resource supporting the Championing Children framework. At a conference last week in Sunderland, Estelle Morris unveiled a book offering guidance to managers and workers in integrated and partnership settings. Topics covered include 'Getting the best out of Championing Children', 'Workforce planning and capacity building', and 'Training and development'.

Chief executive of the CWDC Jane Haywood said, 'Work with our partners has shown the critical importance of leadership in delivering the best outcomes for children, young people and families, regardless of their current position and the setting in which they work. It is extremely important that we place a strong focus on the development and support of leaders across the entire children's workforce.'
