Super-rich parents bent on spoiling their children are forking out more than 65,000 to have luxury Wendy House 'high streets' built in their gardens, reported the Daily Mail. A house from American company Lilliput Play Homes starts at 3,800, while a top-of-the-range Grand Victorian playhouse starts at 12,900.

The 'Blue Peter' pets are being replaced by gadgets in a bid to betterreflect interests of tech-savvy children and gain more viewers, said TheGuardian. Other changes to the long-running children's television show,which is moving to the BBC's new headquarters in Salford, include aremix of the theme tune and a rooftop garden.
