Children are being encouraged to learn about fresh produce in a newscheme called 'Let's Grow', launched by supermarket chain Morrisons withthe help of television presenter and garden designer Diarmuid Gavin.

Schools and nurseries that register with the scheme will be sent enoughpackets of seeds to grow around 1.5m salad leaf plants between them,learning more about healthy food and how to grow it.

The scheme also allows parents, friends and families to contribute bycollecting reward vouchers from their local participating Morrisonsstore.

Vouchers are available on all purchases over 10, which schoolsand nurseries can redeem for free gardening equipment, such as compostbins, planters, spades and greenhouses.
