Woodlands Day Nursery in Timperley, Cheshire, held a party for childrenand staff to celebrate being rated Outstanding in every area by Ofsted.The inspector commented on the nursery's excellent facilities, expertteaching and children's exemplary behaviour.
Healthy Fundraising
Butterflies Nursery at Marsh Farm Children's Centre in Luton held a funday based on their Healthy Under Fives targets to promote betterlifestyles. The money raised from the event funded a visit from AnimalEducation, who introduced the children to a variety of animals andcreepy crawlies.
Gardeners all
Green fingers got busy when the Parenting Project at Stratford Upon AvonChildren's Centre held an open day at their allotment. Parents andchildren were invited to help weed the allotment and tend to the producegrowing there. After their hard work they were all treated to fruitkebabs and vegetables that had been grown in the allotment.
