Little Pixies Day Nursery in West Drayton, Middlesex, has been takenover by adult care provider Allied Care. Little Pixies caters for 28children up to five years old. Aslam Dahya, managing director of AlliedCare, said, 'The move into the children's nursery market provides uswith an opportunity to expand our operations and diversify into a marketthat is growing rapidly because of the demands of today's workingfamilies.'

A children's centre opens this month at Ladysmith Infant school, Exeter.Education, health and social care professionals will all be based onsite, adding to the services currently on offer, which include healthvisitor and midwifery clinics.
