- What a relief

Thousands of early years settings were among the fundraisers across thecountry doing their bit last week to raise money for Comic Relief.Little Acorns Day Nursery in Washington made cakes to sell. Childrenfrom Norland Nursery in Bath donned fancy dress and went on a Red Nosetreasure hunt. Parents were also invited to take part in the setting'sfundraising events with a quiz, while students from Norland College helda cake sale. Little Acorns in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, held a week ofactivities including a pyjama day, a crazy hair day and a messy day.

- Healthy and Happy Me

Children and staff at Early Years Childcare in Worthing, West Sussex,took part in promoting the National Day Nursery Association's HealthyBody, Happy Me campaign from 14 to 20 March. On Move It Monday thechildren followed a musical procession around the garden. On TastyTuesday they sampled exotic fruits and on Thursday, Little ScientistDay, they joined in a nationwide birdwatching event.
