Open for Business - Carnival atmosphere

The Lord Mayor and local schoolchildren were invited to a carnival tomark the opening of the Mary Potter Centre in Nottingham. Visitors wereable to take a tour and view the facilities, which include a Sure Startchildren's centre and community Primary Care Trust services.

Councillor Eunice Campbell of Nottingham City Council's portfolio forcustomer services said, 'The Mary Potter Centre provides astate-of-the-art base that brings together council and health services,making everything much more convenient for residents and increasing theefficiency and linked working of the different agencies.' The centre,which is fully accessible to all the community, is the second jointservice centre to be built as part of Nottingham City PCT and thecouncil's 25-year plan to improve local services.
