PACEY invites practitioners to put their questions to experts

Practice Provision
PACEY is hosting a live question and answer session next week on Twitter for practitioners to put their queries to a panel of experts.

The session, taking place on Twitter on Thursday 13 February between 9am and 10.30am, follows on from PACEY's first live question and answer session at the end of last year.

Using the hashtag #askPACEY, childcare professionals and parents will be able to put their questions via Twitter to a panel of experts including the chief executive of Toad Hall nursery group, Ruth Pimentel, and child development expert and author, Anne Rodgers.

Ms Pimentel, who has led the Toad Hall nursery group since 2010, previously worked as a teacher and Ofsted inspector and was national director of early years for National Strategies. Ms Rodgers, who used to run a chain of nurseries in Hertfordshire, is currently completing a doctorate in early years education. She also holds lectures and has written nine educational books. Between them they have more than 35 years of childcare experience.

The pair will answer questions on a wide range of issues, from practical advice on developing techniques for learning through play, to their thoughts on some of the current challenges faced by the sector.

PACEY held its first question and answer session last November. During the session it received more than 80 queries from childcare professionals and parents, which were answered by the association’s chief executive Liz Bayram and president Penny Tassoni.

Those who would like to put forward questions on 13 February should do so using the hashtag #askPACEY or the @PACEYchildcare Twitter handle. It will also be possible to submit questions ahead of the event via PACEY’s Facebook page or on the PACEY local website.
