Parishioners from St Andrew's Anglican Church in Kirkby, Merseyside

(Photograph) - Parishioners from St Andrew's Anglican Church in Kirkby, Merseyside, hold a prayer meeting outside the building, where premises for the Mary Valle Nursery were destroyed on 2 October after being set ablaze by a stray firework set off by local children. Nursery manager Les Briscoe said, 'Twenty years of records, plans and toys are all gone. When the children saw what happened they were upset because their favourite books and toys were gone.' Local schools have donated items to help replace the equipment lost. Photo courtesy of Liverpool Daily Post & Echo
