Nurseries across Britain are being invited to take part in a sponsored Sunflower Challenge to raise money for the charity WaterAid, which seeks to provide adequate sanitation and clean drinking water in Africa and Asia. The challenge is being co-ordinated by the National Day Nurseries Association as part of National Childcare Month, which takes place in June, and is also open to non-NDNA members. NDNA chief executive Rosemary Murphy said, 'The sunflower growing scheme is an excellent early years project as well as a chance to raise money for a good cause.'
