* Gather a range of sound makers like these in the picture, which play tunes when pressed. They can be obtained from Active Learning (tel: 0115 9606111).
* Draw an illustration to reflect the tune, for example 'Brahms Lullaby', 'Teddy Bears Picnic' or 'Twinkle Twinkle', and incorprorate the sound maker in the picture.
* Urge the children to press the buttons with their fingers.
* Use facial gestures and body language to add to the children's excitement.
* Alternatively, place the sound makers in small bags so the children can manipulate them and listen to the tunes.
