Council employees in Bridgend, South Wales, have been praised for a 'sustained and substantial improvement' in children's services. A recent review by the Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales lifted a 'serious concern' protocol after finding that social services staff and managers were responding much more promptly and effectively to initial concerns about children.
