Scotland's largest teaching union, the Educational Institute of Scotland

Scotland's largest teaching union, the Educational Institute of Scotland, has welcomed minister for education and young people Cathy Jamieson's announcement of 14m funding to tackle discipline problems in schools. But the union warned that 'a one-off quick-fix payment' will not be enough. The cash includes 1m for pilot early intervention projects in which schools seek to identify discipline problems early on.
