- What was your involvement in the Rock Park campaign?
I started the campaign to get play equipment put back in the park. Iused to take children there but the council took the equipment away, forhealth and safety reasons. We asked the council to put more playequipment in the park but they kept saying they did not have thefunds.
- What did the campaign involve?
I started a petition and collected more than 2,200 signatures. I gottogether with some parents and organised a demonstration attended by 80people. We made posters that shopkeepers displayed in their windows. Itall snowballed and local newspapers and television started to cover thestory.
