As mentioned in my previous column, unit 303 involved observations and reasons why practitioners observe children's development. A large part of this unit was observed by my assessor, followed by a half-hour professional discussion. Readers need not be alarmed by the idea of this, it is far from being a gruelling question and answer session.
Over the past six months since starting this NVQ 3, I have got to know my assessor is marking off areas of knowledge and understanding that I am demonstrating.
All in all, I completed nine assignments. These were not lengthy, but consisted of short paragraphs, providing key information that was straight to the point.
