Fathers are to receive more support and recognition under proposals outlined in the Government's Families Green Paper published yesterday (Wednesday).
It sets out a package of new measures, including a tenpage 'Dads' Guide'by the Fatherhood Institute, to be distributed through Bounty packs,offering advice for fathers. Other measures include a doublesided flyerin the Pregnancy Information pack, looking at the important part thatfathers play, and new guidance from the Royal College of Midwives on howthey can better engage fathers.
