The Big Picture - Polar explorers

Activities Families
The Cambridge Festival of Ideas, which runs from 16 to 29 October, is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a programme of stories, games, exhibitions and interactive fun.

The festival, which is managed by the University of Cambridge, offers children and families a series of more than 200 events, most of which are free.

The first week will focus on younger children, including two events at the Polar Museum. Children under five are invited to become Arctic explorers through craft activities, tales from Marion Leeper, and a guest appearance by some real reindeer.

Festival co-ordinator Ariel Retik said, ‘We are hosting events that get kids thinking about and questioning the world around them, the past, present and future, in a fun, interactive way.’
