The Very Hungry Caterpillar will wiggle his way to London this summer to celebrate the book’s 50th anniversary.
A stage adaptation of four of author and illustrator Eric Carle’s stories – Brown Bear, Brown Bear, 10 Little Rubber Ducksand The Very Lonely Firefly, as well as The Very Hungry Caterpillar – will play at Troubadour White City Theatre in August.
Since The Very Hungry Caterpillar was first published in 1969, it has been translated into 62 languages and sold more than 50 million copies worldwide.
Mr Carle said, ‘I am delighted that my friends in London will be able to share the same enjoyment I felt when seeing my characters come to life on stage.’
